Next week is the finale - we're back to a two-hour episode, so be sure to pack some snacks!

So what's next? How do things move on from here? The finale is run differently - you don't earn any more points. Instead, you have to decide where you want to spend your points. You need to bet your points on one or more team. Do you trust a team enough to place all of your points on them? Or do you need to spread your points around on TWO teams?

That's up to you.

After the 2nd to last episode, here are the totals.

Before Saturday, I'll need to know where you're going to spread your points. On one team or on several.

Did You Hear That?!

That was the sound of 9 teams suddenly gasping for air as they realized that they are suddenly down to two teams.
I can't remember the last time that almost every player lost two teams this early on - wow.

This weekend things are going to be a bit delayed as I will be travelling out of the country for a week. I'll try to watch the race online if I can. Otherwise you'll have to wait for me to return to post scores.

I'll be checking in when I can to keep things updated. I still owe Team Roth a post proving their Been There! Bonus....

Week 1 Bonus Points

This season is starting off with a bang - not only are the teams looking good, along with some great destinations, you have another chance to grab some bonus points!
Join me tonight during the episode while I'm in the scoring sheet and you can earn some bonus points. I'll need you to figure out how to chat with me once you're inside and make some random comments about the show. Once I've verified that it's you, you'll get 10 bonus points. Pretty easy!

This bonus opportunity will happen every week and will be worth 20 points.  Almost every week someone is sent home - we call that getting "Philiminated." You pick who you think is getting Philiminated and if your guess is correct, you get 20 points. At any time you can guess a team or you can pick NON, as each season has a couple non-elimination legs.

Hello and welcome to the Amazing Race 21 Pool! The latest edition of The Race is set to begin on September 30th.

This is a low entry fee, moderate prize way of tracking 4 of your favorite teams as they criss-cross the globe.

Here's how it works:

The entry fee is $5 via check, cash, or paypal

Each player picks four teams. I will help make sure that your 4 picks are not the same as another players. This will help eliminate the chance of a tie. As you make submissions, I'll let you know if your choices are okay.

All of your teams earn points for you (see below), which you'll spend later.

For the finale all the points you've earned to that point will be spent by you (regardless of how many teams you have left) on one or more the remaining teams.

Points will be based upon what happens in each episode and here's how they'll be assigned:

1. Place at the Pit Stop

First Place: 100 points

Second Place: 90 points

Third Place: 80 points

Fourth Place: 70 points

Fifth Place: 60 points

Sixth Place: 50 points

Seventh Place: 40 points

Eighth Place: 30 points

Ninth Place: 20 points

Tenth Place: 10 points

LAST (ALL ELIMINATIONS): -100 points

2. Team uses Fast Forward: 100 points

3. Team uses their Yield: 50 points

4. Team Gets Yielded: -50 points

5. Screen shows the team "Currently in first place": 10 points

6. Screen shows the team "Currently in last place": -10 points

7. Only team to complete a detour option: 20 points

8. Team gives up on Detour option: -10 points

9. MONKEY points: a team says monkey, 10 points. They show a monkey onscreen, 5 points to all teams.

10. Team says the quote that is the episode title: 10 points
